The Rev. Melvin L. Butler, 71, husband of Patricia Hampton Butler, departed this life on Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2019, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia.
He was born on April 16, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, a son of the late Norman and Gardenia Thompson Butler.
The family will receive friends at the home, 4809 Brenthaven Road, Columbia, SC 29206.
