MICHAEL C. PORTEE SIGLER

Michael C. Portee Sigler was born June 2, 1997, in Sumter, to Tywanda Portee Thompson and Michael Sigler. He departed this life on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at Prisma Health Richland Hospital.

Michael was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Emma Portee; great-grandfather, Herman McLeod; and grandmother, Dorothy Mae Sigler.

Michael leaves to cherish his memories: parents, Tywanda Portee Thompson and Michael Sigler; grandmother, Queenie Canty; grandfather, Raffield (Willie Mae) Choice; great-grandfather, Theodore Portee; great-grandmother, Thomasina McLeod; three brothers, Ty'Quan Lawson, Kewaumie Lackey and Joshua Lackey; one sister, Ty'Kesa Portee; two uncles, Shaun Sigler and Dennis Sigler; two aunts, Crystal (Eric) Rhames and Janice Sigler; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 805 S. Harvin St., Sumter. Marion H. Newton, pastor, and Elder Frank Garrett Sr. officiated. Interment followed at Bradford Cemetery.

Services were entrusted to Whites Mortuary LLC.
