MICHAEL DUANE BONEY SR.

ELGIN - Michael Duane Boney Sr., 59, died Saturday, Sept. 28, 2019, at his home.

Born in Sumter, he was a son of the late Robert E. "R.E." Boney and Alphia McCoy Boney. Mr. Boney was formerly employed by Pilgrim's Pride. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Surviving are a daughter, Amy Boney of Alabama; a son, Michael Boney Jr. of Alabama; three sisters, Linda Sweetman of Texas, Paula Boney of Elgin and Tammy Boney Ozolins of Sumter; and two grandchildren, Maddox Harrington and Ellissa Harrington.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends following the memorial service and other times at 589 Clifton Road.
