Michael Shane Rogers, 29, died on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018, at Palmetto Baptist Hospital.
Born in Sumter, he was the son of William Eugene Rogers and Mary Beth Coker Rogers. Michael was a graduate of Sumter High School where he was part of the Sumter High Marching Band and went on to graduate from Central Carolina Technical College. He loved motorcycles and archery. He was the former manager of Treadquarters and presently working for Sykes. He attended Westside Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents are: one brother, Matt Rogers and his wife, Amanda Legrand Rogers; one nephew, Zak Rogers; grandmother, Anne Ella Rogers; two aunts, Wendy Smith and her husband, Robert, and Laura Hurst and her husband, Jay; three uncles, Joey Coker and his wife, Patti, Eddie Coker and his wife, Deborah, and Wendell Rogers and his wife, Chrissy; and one niece, Keirstyn Rogers.
A memorial service will be held on Monday at 4 p.m. in Bullock Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Holley officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be 81 Rock Hill, Hooligans Rock Hill and the Brotherhood of Lazarus.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service from 2 to 4 p.m. on Monday at Bullock Funeral Home.
