MINNIE PEARL HILL CONYERS

Minnie Pearl Hill Conyers, 75, was born on June 22, 1944, to the late Robert and Maggie Canty Hill and reared by her loving stepmother, Rosa Lee Harvin Hill, after the passing of her mother.

She entered eternal rest on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2019, at the Medical University of South Carolina hospital: Ashley River Towers in Charleston.

Minnie attended the public schools of Sumter County. Later in her life, she met and married the love of her life, Ben Conyers. They were joined in holy matrimony in 1969 and were blessed with four beautiful children. She joined and worshiped at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church.

Those left to cherish her memory are a husband, Ben Conyers of the home; four children, Gloria Jean Conyers, Trescott Conyers, Bryan (Susie) Conyers and Quentin Conyers, all of Sumter; three grandchildren, Quincy Conyers, Xavier Conyers and TaShanna Eaddy, all of Sumter; sisters and brothers, Edna Pringle of Orlando, Florida, Henry Hill, George Hill, Ronnie Hill, Patricia (Albert) Kirkland, PhD. all of Sumter, and Leroy (Beverly) Hill of Atlanta; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maxine Hill, Elsie Hill, DeYarn Hill, Miriam (Johnnie) Roman, Elque (Violet) Conyers and Ray (Louise) Conyers, all of Sumter, Ernestine Hill of Bronx, New York, Bessie (Fred) Allen of DeBary, Florida, Alvaretta C. Bryson of Lexington, North Carolina, and Wilmur Z. Conyers of Durham, North Carolina; and a host of loving and wonderful nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Minnie was preceded in death by seven brothers, Jimmy, Sammie, Robert Jr., Lloyd, LeVerne, James and Larry Hill; and three sisters-in-law, Annie C. Hill, Sara Hill and Sandra Hill.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Job's Mortuary.

Mrs. Conyers will be placed in the church at 10 a.m. on Monday for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday at Jehovah Missionary Baptist Church, 805 S. Harvin St., Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Marion H. Newton, eulogist, and Pastor Ricky Simmons, presiding. Interment will follow at Cain Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the home, 710 Deschamps Road, Sumter, SC 29154.
