SANTEE - The Manning High School varsity boys basketball team opened its season with a 51-28 victory over Lake Marion on Tuesday at LMHS.

Aaron Smith led the Monarchs with a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds. Xavior Hicks followed with nine points and four steals, while Don Hilton had eight points and five steals.

Quan Hilton had seven points and 12 rebounds, while Leondre Nelson had seven points and 10 boards.

Heathwood Hall 47

Wilson Hall 26

Wilson Hall fell to 1-2 on the season with a 47-26 loss to Heathwood Hall on Tuesday at Nash Student Center.

Evan Hoffman led the Barons with six points. Miller Jones added five.

Lee Central improved to 3-1 with a 72-57 victory over Crestwood on Tuesday at The Castle.

LeBron Thomas led the Stallions with 19 points. DaVeon Thomas followed with 16 points, while Darius Perry and Derrick Bradley had 12 apiece.

Crestwood fell to 0-2. Mitchell Pollard led the Knights with 17 points. Montrell White added 10.

SANTEE - Manning opened its season with a 23-16 victory over Lake Marion on Tuesday at the LMHS gymnasium.

Ernie Calloway led the Monarchs with nine points. Timothy Goldsmith had nine steals.

Wilson Hall improved to 2-1 with a 31-29 victory over Heathwood Hall on Tuesday at Nash Student Center.

Connor Hanson led the Barons with 10 points. Clark Kinney added nine.
