Monthly reports before school board's Finance Committee on Thursday

Sumter school board's Finance Committee will have its first meeting with the district's new Chief Financial Officer Shatika Spearman on Thursday.

A district staff member informed The Sumter Item of the committee's meeting Friday afternoon.

Spearman will share various monthly financial reports with the committee, which is chaired by trustee Sherril Ray.

Thursday's meeting will be at 6 p.m. at the district office, 1345 Wilson Hall Road.

Like all board-related meetings, the meeting is open to the public.

For those not physically attending, the district continues to broadcast meetings live on YouTube.
