Mother Oree M. Richburg celebrated her 90th birthday surrounded by friends and family on Jan. 4. Manning Mayor Julia A. Nelson is shown presenting the honoree with a proclamation proclaiming Jan. 5 as "Mother Oree M. Richburg Day." Sen. Kevin L. Johnson, D-Manning, was also on hand for the festivities. Johnson presented Richburg with a senate certificate honoring her birthday.
