Nancy A. Colclough Sanders departed this earthly life on Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2018, at Palmetto Health Richland, Columbia.

She was born on April 8, 1943, to the late David L. and Maggie L. Alston Colclough. At an early age, Nancy accepted Christ and was baptized at St. James Methodist Church. In her later years, she became a member of Rafting Creek Baptist Church. She was the former president of the Minister and Deacon Wives, member of the gospel choir, Gospelettes, Rafting Creek Missionary Society, decorating committee and Women's Revival Choir for 19 years. She was educated in the Newport News, Virginia, Public School System and later attended and graduated from Ebenezer High School Class of 1961, Dalzell. She worked with the Sumter County Public School System and Kmart, where she retired after many years of employment. Nancy was married to the late Deacon Willie Sanders Sr., and to this union five sons were born.

She leaves to cherish her memories: sons, Willie Anthony (Valerie) Sanders of Rembert, Timothy (Melody) Sanders of Norfolk, Virginia, Jeffrey (Geraldine) Sanders of Pinewood, Stacey Sanders of Athens, Georgia, and Jermaine Sanders of Germany; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, David (Gwendolyn) Colclough of Hampton, Virginia; two sisters, Evelyn G. Colclough of Newport and Delores Colclough Blow of Bridgeport, Connecticut; one aunt, Janie Gayle of Hampton; seven sisters-in-law; four brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the home, 5025 Dennis Road, Rembert.

Celebration of life services will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday at Rafting Creek Baptist Church, 3860 S.C. 261 North, Rembert, with the Rev. Melvin Mack, pastor, and Pastor William Sanders, eulogist.

The remains will be placed in the church at noon.

The funeral procession will leave at 12:20 p.m. from the home.

Burial will be at Rafting Creek Baptist Churchyard Cemetery.
