NELSON RIDGILL

MANNING - On Thursday, Jan. 24, 2019, Nelson Ridgill, widower of Dorcas Setsure Dubose Ridgill, exchanged time for eternity at McLeod Health Clarendon.

Born on Feb. 22, 1929, in Manning, he was a son of the late Thomas Sr. and Cleophas Tindal Ridgill.

A service celebrating his life will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday at Fourth Crossroad Baptist Church, 1612 Crossroads Church Road, Manning, where the Rev. G.K. Carter serves as pastor. The Rev. Dr. Herman Gibson Jr., pastor of Cedar Grove, Mt. Olive and Ranzie Grove Missionary Baptist churches, will preside. Words of comfort will be brought by the Rev. Dr. Alice Ridgill (niece), pastor of New Faith Presbyterian Church, Greenwood. The service of committal will follow in the family plot located at Fourth Crossroad Baptist Church Cemetery.

Public viewing will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Fleming & DeLaine Chapel, 222 W. Boyce St., Manning.

The family is receiving relatives and friends at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Adrian and Gloria Burgess Ridgill, 1371 Larrimore Drive, Manning.
