New family practice to open in Sumter

Palmetto Health-USC Medical Group and the Department of Family Medicine are opening a new family medicine practice at 738 W. Liberty St., Suite A. A ribbon cutting and open house will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Friday.
James Ingram, M.D., a long-time community physician in the Sumter area, leads the practice. Ingram received his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and completed his residency in family medicine at Greenville Hospital System. He is board certified in family medicine.
