COLUMBIA – South Carolina let a 5-1 lead slip away and lost to No.8 Georgia 8-7 on Saturday at Founders Park.
The Bulldogs won the series, improving to 17-2 overall and 2-0 in the Southeastern Conference. USC, ranked 22nd, fell to 14-5 and 0-2.
The Gamecocks led 5-1 after three innings. UGA tied it in the fourth and eventually took an 8-6 lead.
Luke Berryhill, Ian Jenkins and Andrew Eyster each hit a home run for Carolina.
The final game will be played today at 1:30 p.m. The contest will be carried on WNKT-FM 107.5.
