NOLAN BOSSARD JR.

Nolan Bossard Jr. was born on June 24, 1955, in Sumter, a son of Mildred T. Bossard and the late Nolan Bossard Sr. Nolan was taken up to his heavenly home on the Monday, July 27, 2020.

Nolan graduated in 1973 from Sumter High School. He furthered his education at DeVry University in Atlanta. Nolan accepted Christ at an early age and joined St. Paul AME Church. He was a member of the steward board in which he was the steward pro-tem, member of the Frederick Graves Mass Choir, the Sons of Allen and finance committee. Nolan was employed by EXIDE-Yuasa-Enersys for 30 years and was the proud owner of B&T Transportation. He was an active member of the alumni chapter of the Sumter High School Class of 1973, where he served as treasurer.

He leaves a lovely family to treasure beautiful memories including his devoted wife, Glenda D. Bossard; a loving mother, Mildred T. Bossard; a brother, Craig (Antwanette) Bossard of Baltimore, Maryland; incredible daughters, LaZendra (Brian) Danforth of Gainesville, Florida, and Kendra Bossard of San Antonio, Texas; sons, Dewayne Lamont (Angela) Tomlin Sr. of Newport News, Virginia, and Kevin (Elizabeth) Tomlin of Dalzell; grandchildren, Dewayne L. Tomlin Jr., Jaelin Tomlin, Jamari Tomlin, Stephen Danforth, Braxton Danforth, Kevin Tomlin Jr., Grace Tomlin, Reagan Day, Jazzmin Tomlin and Kharter Tomlin; brothers-in-law, Joseph (Diane) Johnson, Laverne (Katrina) McFadden, Minuel (Stephanie) McFadden, John Wesley Johnson, James Johnson and Charles (Alice) Thomas; sister-in-law, Joan Johnson Davis; aunts, Lilian Morris and Leola Bossard; uncle, Henry Pressley; friends like sisters, Alethia Frieson and Vivian Leaf; a close friend and business partner, Larry Tate; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. today at Job's Mortuary.

Mr. Bossard will be placed in the church at noon on Sunday for viewing until the hour of service.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday at Salem Chapel & Heritage Center, 101 S. Salem Ave., Sumter, SC 29150 with Pastor Frederick Graves, eulogist, and Dr. Friendly J. Gadson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the home, 2405 Kevin Road, Sumter, SC 29153.
