Olivia Oliver, 74, was born on Dec. 9, 1942, in Panola, to the late John H. Sr. and Mattie Mickens Stukes. She was the wife of Jeremiah Oliver Jr.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Liza McConico; and a brother, Eugene Johnson Jr.
She departed this life on Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2017, in Sumter.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: her husband of 47 years, Jeremiah Oliver Jr.; her children, Sherva Dean Billie (Robert) Parker, Josh (Geneva) Billy, James (Fashonda) Oliver, Melissa Oliver, Melinda (Gary) Oliver-Elliott, Jeremiah (Kimberly) Oliver III and Patricia Oliver; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Essie Mae Wells, Ruth Ann Johnson and Cynthia Johnson; four brothers, John Henry Stukes (Gladys), Willie Fare Stukes (Beulah), David S. Johnson and Joe Louis Johnson; sister-in-law, Mary Oliver Foye; brother-in-law, Moses Oliver (Marie); and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday at St. Paul Holiness Church, 129 W. Moore St., Sumter, with Elder Barrington Pierson, pastor, and the Rev. James Oliver, eulogist.
A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.
The family is receiving friends at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, James and Fashonda Oliver, 50 Klepin Court, Sumter.
