Opinion: Everyone involved in making surgery at Tuomey a success deserves pat on the back

Posted

After having knee problems more than three years, I recently had surgery at Prisma Health Tuomey day surgery. From my first office visit with Warren Pyle, PA (pre-surgery) to the surgery and hospital experience to my outpatient rehab appointments, the treatment I received has been outstanding.

On the day of surgery, I could not have asked for better care. From the receptionist at the day surgery window to the nurses and techs, everyone went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and in good spirits.

Drs. Kurt Stroebel and Mitchell Levi were very professional, with just a hint of humor. I knew I would be in good hands with these two.

During my day surgery stay, the nurses and techs checked and rechecked to make sure each phase of the process went perfectly - verifying my ID before each step, ensuring I understood the procedure and what was about to happen, reviewing discharge instructions with me and answering all of my questions.

I can't name them all, but each of these people deserve a pat on the back for a job well done.

If anyone has an issue with the service at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, perhaps you should look in the mirror for the real problem. These doctors, nurses, techs and others are outstanding.
