Ortmann-Stuart
Anna Reid Ortmann of Sumter and Cory Thomas Stuart of Columbia were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Saturday, April 6, 2019, at LinRan Farm in Sumter.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Chandler Ortmann of Sumter and the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Fred William Ortmann Jr. of Sumter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Singleton Jackson of Gable. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Level Education and a Master's degree in Language and Literacy. She is employed by Lexington School District One.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Alexander Stuart of San Diego, California, and the grandson of the late Mr. Nello Martin Baldelli and Mrs. Carol Jean Baldelli and Mr. Alexander Stuart and the late Mrs. Rita Stuart, all of Boardman, Ohio. He graduated from the University of Dayton with a Bachelor of Science and Education degree in Pre-Physical Therapy. He is in his third year of the Doctoral Program of Physical Therapy at the University of South Carolina and expects to graduate in December.
Mr. James Michael Hendricks officiated at the ceremony.
Music was provided by Chris Reardon, pianist, and Catherine Failoni, soloist.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a Justin Alexander ivory on ivory tulle fit-and-flare gown featuring an all-over lace sweetheart neckline and a detachable skirt adorned with lace appliques and finished with a lace hem. She carried a bouquet of white Playablanca roses and blush garden O'Hara roses with touches of white wax flower, white ranunculus, Italian ruscus and eucalyptus.
Sallie Singleton Ortmann, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor, with Catherine Ortmann Hart, twin sister of the bride, as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Scottie Turner Ard, Curry Ann Wilson Askew, Caroline Santorum Ayres, Katherine Louisa Mott, Whitney Alexandria Rhymer, Megan Elizabeth Rife and Callie Diane Stuart.
Cameron David Stuart, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Connor Lee Baade, Joseph Robert Bodnar, Nolan Conrad Harmotto, James Michael Hart, Bryan Jae Kim, Matthew Vincent Smoral, Cameron David Stubbs, Austin Byrne Taylor and Duvall Shay Winns. Joshua David Jenkins Jr. served as usher.
Olivia Lee McConnell and Jessica Jean Jenkins served as program attendants, and Mrs. Talmadge Tobias, director.
The bride's parents held the reception at LinRan Farm.
The bridegroom's parents held the rehearsal party at The O'Donnell House in Sumter.
The couple will reside in Columbia.
