MANNING -- Katherine Burns had a double-double of 15 points and 16 rebounds to lead Laurence Manning Academy to a 55-25 season-opening victory over The King's Academy on Monday at Bubba Davis Gymnasium.
Audrey Bennett added nine points for the Lady Swampcats, while Breanna Boykin had eight points. Bryce Erikson grabbed 17 rebounds while scoring six points.
Wilson Hall 51
Wilson Hal held Carolina Academy scoreless in the first quarter on the way to a 51-26 victory on Monday at Nash Student Center.
The Lady Barons picked up their first win of the season, improving to 1-2.

DALZELL -- Dalashia Brunson scored 18 points and grabbed eight rebounds to lead Bates to a 56-36 season-opening win over Hillcrest on Monday at the HMS gymnasium.
Kharya Reed scored 14 points and had five assists for the Lady Bantams. Keziyah Sanders added 11 points.
Chestnut Oaks 42
Chestnut Oaks opened its season with a 42-18 victory over Ebenezer on Monday at the EMS gymnasium.
Rickell Brown led the Lady Falcons with 18 points. Serenity Douglas added 12 points, and Paija McFadden had 10.
HARTSVILLE - Sumter High School opened its season with a 44-13 victory over Hartsville on Monday at the HHS gymnasium.
Kalayah White led the Lady Gamecocks with 10 points. Shushan Hairston added eight points, while Shacara Clark had six and Takiyah Sinkler five.
Wilson Hall 37
Wilson Hall opened its season with a 37-16 victory over Carolina Academy on Monday at Nash Student Center.
Jane McAdams had 10 points to lead the Lady Barons and also had five rebounds and four steals. Maggie Norris had six points and 10 rebounds, Mary Beth VanPatten had six points and eight rebounds, and Sydney Jarecki had six points and three steals.
