PATRICIA SMITH JOHNSON

Patricia Catherine Smith Johnson, age 50, beloved wife of 21 years to Steven James Johnson, died on Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2020, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born in Evanston, Illinois, she was a daughter of Sharon Kathleen Spiegel Smith and the late Robert Llewellyn Smith Jr. Patricia devoted her life to her family and she was a mother not only to her children, but all of their friends and anyone else that visited her home. She loved to dance but her true joy in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandson. She will be remembered as a very loving wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by three daughters, Brittany Leigh Barfield and her husband, Christopher, of Dalzell, Stephanie Kathleen Fowler and her husband, Michael, of Dalzell and Elizabeth Cameron Johnson of Sumter; one brother, Robert L. Smith and his life partner, Grace, of Dalzell; one sister, Rebecca Gwyn Bostock of Elizabeth City, North Carolina; one grandson, Connor Barfield; stepfather, Charles Hurlburt; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. today at Bullock Funeral Home.
