DALZELL - Paul Leonard Fisher, 71, husband of Cecile Schultz Fisher, died on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2020, at Prisma Health Richland.
Born in Everett, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late Albra Fisher and Amy Fitzmeyer Fisher. Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was very active with the local DAV and had served as commander and the Combat Veterans Group. Over the years, he assisted many veterans with filing their claims at the Sumter Clinic. In addition, he volunteered with Camp Corral at Golden Corral for many years.
In addition to his wife, Cecile, he is survived by one son, Paul Leonard Fisher II; one daughter, Katha Frier; two brothers, Rich Fisher and Warren Fisher; two sisters, Bertha Bruno and Janet Kirwin; four granddaughters, Harley, Breanna, Brittani and Brandi; two great granddaughters; three great-grandsons; two stepsons, Nick and Mark Parshley; one special friend, Jean Clemons; and numerous cousins.
Services will be private.
