PEARLIE PEOPLES

Funeral services for Pearlie Peoples will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Greater Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 410 S. Main St., Sumter, with Bishop Marvin Hodge Sr., pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Bradford Cemetery.

A public viewing will be held from 1 to 6 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Pearlie Peoples was born on Jan. 14, 1955, in Sumter, to Pauline Andrews Shepard and the late Pearlie Peoples Jr.

Pearlie departed this life on Saturday, May 30, 2020, in Columbia.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Cornelia Peoples; a son, Fernando (Candice) Peoples; a daughter, Creshia Peoples; his mother, Pauline Shepard; two granddaughters, Creshona and Janiyia Peoples; three brothers, Lee Vern (Louise) Peoples, Rick (Shirley) Peoples and John Shepard; a sister, Joyce (William) Harden; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services are entrusted to Whites Mortuary LLC - Ministry in the Market Place.
