Pedestrian in Lee County struck by 2 vehicles, dies at hospital

A 27-year-old Lee County man was killed Monday night after being struck twice by two separate vehicles as he was walking along the side of S.C. 527.

Lee County Coroner Larry Logan said the incident happened near where Marcus Bradley lived in Elliott, an unincorporated community in Lee near S.C. 527 and U.S. 401.

Bradley was hit about 10:11 p.m. on Sept. 9 on S.C. 527 near U.S. 401, according to Lance Cpl. Matt Southern with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. He was first struck by a 2013 Dodge Charger traveling northbound on S.C. 527 and struck a second time by a 2004 Dodge pickup traveling southbound, Southern said.

He was transported by Lee County EMS to Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center, Hartsville, where he later died.

The fatal collision is under investigation by the highway patrol.
