PEGGY AVINS BRITT

Peggy Avins Britt, 62, widow of Larry D. Britt, died Saturday, Oct. 26, 2019, at her home.

Born Nov. 2, 1956, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Delbert Dayton Avins and Louise Williams Avins.

Survivors include four children, Glenn Avins (Nicole), Brantley Britt (Tammy) and Ashley Montalbano (Ricky), all of Sumter, and Duain Britt (Nancy) of Avenel, New Jersey; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Larry Avins (Henrietta) of Pinewood; and two sisters, Debbie Geddings (Roger) of Rock Hill and Cindy Vaughn (Dave) of Deltona, Florida.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Linda O'Neal.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Brian Gray officiating. Burial will be at Paxville Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Avins, Joshua Sohnemann, Brantley Britt Jr., Jason O'Neal, Luke Lucas and Zach Holladay.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home, 4825 Significant Drive.

Elmore-Cannon-Stephens Funeral Home and Crematorium of Sumter is in charge of the arrangements.
