DALZELL - Phyllis Ann Norman McCollam, age 85, beloved wife of the late Ivan Earl McCollam, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey.

Born in Camden-on-Gauley, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Victor Theodore Norman and Ida Rebecca Vaughan Norman. Phyllis was raised Pentecostal and loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a loving wife of more than 51 years to Ivan. She loved to travel, play games, write songs and enjoyed singing, drawing and reading the Bible. Her final proclamations to her children were for them to continue to serve the Lord with all their heart and to love one another.

She is survived by eight sons, Johnathan McCollam and his wife, Hachan, of Hemmitt, California, Jimmy McCollam of Texas, Jeremy "Jay" McCollam of Dalzell, Joel McCollam and his wife, Sharon, of Sutton, West Virginia, Jeffrey McCollam and his wife, Sherry, of Spartanburg, Shawn McCollam, Shannon McCollam of Orville, Ohio, and Chad McCollam and his wife, Alicia, of Dalzell; five daughters, Pamela Alderman of Summersville, West Virginia, Sandra Champ and her husband, Donald, of Dalzell, Peggy McCollam and her husband, Denvil Knight, of Craigsville, West Virginia, Karen McCollam and James of Wichita, Kansas, and Carmen Hess and her husband, Tom, of Dalzell; two brothers, Victor Norman Jr. of Akron, Ohio, and Kenneth Norman of Summerville, West Virginia; two sisters, Ruth Rexrode of Baltimore and Iolene Bragg of Camden-on-Gauley; one daughter-in-law, Sara Morrison of Ocala, Florida; 29 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Steve Morrison.

A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. H. Albert Sims officiating.
