Phyllis Elaine Humphries Skey, 75, wife of James Edward "Eddie" Skey, passed away on Monday, Aug. 24, 2020, at her home.

Born on Feb. 13, 1945, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Chapman A. and Agnes Floyd. She was a member of Northside Memorial Baptist Church and was very active in the Women's Bible Study Group and the Paxville Baptist Church WMU. She and her husband, Eddie, were the owners of Upholstery Fabric World in Sumter.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years; three children, Eddie Skey Jr. (Renee) of Mt. Pleasant, North Carolina, and Keleigh Skey Johnson (Jim) and Daryle Skey (Laura), both of Sumter; nine grandchildren, Jackson Skey (Mariah), Harrison Skey, Mary Madison Skey, Courtney Johnson, Bart Johnson, Brynn DuBose (Tyler), Cory Blackley, Ansel Owens (Nancy Hayes) and Collin Evans; great-grandchildren, J. Johnson, Wyatt DuBose, and Pruitt and Parker Hayes Owens; and a brother, Bert Humphries.

A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery with Pastor Harrison Skey, the Rev. Jimmy Holley and the Rev. Jim Johnson officiating. Music will be provided by Bart Johnson.

Grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends following the service at the graveside and other times at the home.
