Physicians Footcare has added Dr. Brandon Brooks, Doctor of Podiatric Medicine and Master of Public Health, to its staff.

Dr. Brooks earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the Saint Leo University Honors Program in Saint Leo, Florida, and his medical degree from the Barry University School of Podiatric Medicine in Miami Shores, Florida.

He went on to complete a three-year foot and ankle surgery residency at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center in Augusta, Georgia, where he served as chief resident and clinical editor for the Georgia Podiatric Physician.

After residency, Dr. Brooks completed his fellowship training at Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire, where he earned his MPH.

"Physicians Footcare's approach to its patients and to the communities they serve made accepting the position an easy decision," said Brooks in a news release. "It's a privilege to be part of a likeminded team."

Dr. Brooks, a fellowship-trained and board-qualified podiatrist, specializes in foot surgery, diabetic foot care, general foot care and wound care.

Physicians Footcare operates 14 office locations throughout the Pee Dee, the Midlands and the Lowcountry. Dr. Brooks will practice in the Sumter office and is now scheduling appointments. Visit physiciansfootcare.com to learn more or make an appointment online.
