If you're a professional wrestling aficionado, then this event is for you.

Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling will be hosting the All America Bash, a wrestling event featuring some well-known wrestlers and will serve as a fundraiser for the Sumter County Sheriff's Office as well.

The event will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 16, at Sumter County Civic Center. Doors open at 7 p.m. and bell time is 8.

The headliner for the event is "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner. Also featured on the card are former World Championship Wrestling superstar Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell, former World Wrestling Entertainment star Shane "The Hurricane" Helms, The Heatseekers and many other MACW superstars.

"(It's about) name recognition; these were the top guys during their day," said MACW owner and retired wrestler Rik Nelson. "We haven't done a wrestling event in Sumter in a long time. Sumter used to be a big wrestling town back in the day."

"We're certainly excited to have Mid Atlantic Championship Wrestling coming to Sumter," public information officer Ken Bell said. "We want to thank all of the sponsors who made this possible. The proceeds from this event will enable us to expand the training for our deputies. Our agency will be providing security that evening to assure everyone's safety."

General admission is $12, and ringside tickets are $20. Tickets are available at Danny's Trophy Shop at 713 Bultman Drive and The Restaurant at Second Mill at 1100 W. Liberty St. Tickets will be sold at Sumter County Civic Center box office only on the night of the event.

"I look forward to it," Nelson said. "It's a family friendly event.

It's a G-rated show."
