Receive gift card, chance to win TV at vaccination event in Sumter on Saturday, Sept. 11

Carolina Forest at Sumter, 1965 Stadium Road, will hold a COVID-19 vaccination event on Saturday, Sept. 11., From 6:30 to 10 p.m.

Attendees can receive either their first or second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. Pfizer's shot has been fully approved by the FDA. Recipients will receive a gift card, while supplies last, and be entered to win a TV.

According to state public health data, 48% of eligible Sumter County residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine, compared to 72% nationally.
