A Rembert man was arrested Thursday on six warrants relating to three separate incidents spanning two years and ranging from attempted murder to domestic violence to malicious injury to property.

Treman Antonio Dennis, 34, of TB Wright Road, is accused of shooting a man during an altercation near Spencer and Sylvia roads in Rembert on Labor Day. According to Sumter County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Adrienne Sarvis, Dennis reportedly retrieved a handgun from a house after an initial physical fight with the victim and shot him during a second altercation as the victim was getting into his vehicle.

The victim was transported to a hospital.

The day before the shooting, Dennis is accused of grabbing a woman by the hair and neck while inside a vehicle and "threatened to kill her and shoot up her house" while at a location on TB Wright Road, Sarvis said in a news release. Dennis reportedly grabbed the woman by her hair another time during the same incident as she was getting back into the vehicle and threw a bottle at the car, causing about $350 in damage to the driver's side window, as she drove away.

Dennis was also charged after supposedly failing to stop for blue lights during an attempted traffic stop in reference to a domestic violence incident on March 13, 2017.

He evaded the deputy, and the vehicle was later located after the suspect fled the area. He had been seen driving by the deputy and was charged for operating a vehicle while his license was suspended.

In total, Dennis faces one count each of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, third-degree domestic violence, malicious injury to property, first-offense driving under suspension and failure to stop for a blue light.

The six warrants were issued on Sept. 3.

Dennis was taken to the Sumter County Sheriff's Office Detention Center, where he remained as of Friday afternoon with a $58,500 bond.
