REX L. BOYD SR.

Rex L. Boyd Sr., 71, of Sumter, died peacefully on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2020.

Born on Jan. 10, 1949, in Jonesville, North Carolina, he was a son of the late James W. and Jerry Wright Boyd. Rex retired from Santee Print and was an avid fisherman. He adored his family, especially his wife, the late Dona Jones Boyd.

Survivors include his sons, Rex L. Boyd Jr. (Katherine) of Sumter, Shane L. Boyd of Union, Paul J. Boyd (Michelle) of Newburn, North Carolina, and Bryce O. Boyd (Jessica) of Lugoff; grandchildren, Houston Boyd (Jessica) Dylan, Jake, Jackson, Gabby, Avery and Ella; three great-grandchildren, Brayson, Brennen and Breleigh Dona; a brother, Jimmy Boyd (Cathy) of Chesnee; and a sister, Mary Sanders (Ray) of Union.
