JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Richard Kirk McLeod III, age 51, died on Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021.

Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado, he was a son of Richard Kirk McLeod Jr. and Sandy Fickling Elmore. He graduated from Sumter High School and Clemson University, where he was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. He lived in Jacksonville, where he was an executive vice president of Wealth Management at Camarda Wealth Advisory Group. He was a member of the Church of the Holy Comforter, Millwood Club, Tharain Club and was a Master Mason.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his stepfather, Wayne Elmore; fiancée, Kimberly Ard; three sons, Kirk McLeod of Sumter, Mason McLeod of Jacksonville and Miller McLeod of Jacksonville; four stepsons, Drew Ard, David Ard, Daniel Ard and Dash Ard, all of Jacksonville; and two brothers, Ryan McLeod and his wife, Wendy, and Chad McLeod and his wife, Kristi, all of Sumter.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Margaret and Kirk McLeod Sr. and Bert and Jimmy Fickling Sr.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Church of the Holy Comforter with the Rev. John Sosnowski officiating. The interment will follow at Sumter Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Shane Gaymon, Billy Rackley, Chad Prescott, Steve Fickling, Charles Alessandro, Lee Hatfield and Jimmy Noonan.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at Bullock Funeral Home.
