ROBERT DEAN HAYNES
Robert Dean Haynes, age 80, beloved husband of Geraldine Helen Parker Haynes, died on Tuesday, July 16, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Born in Osceola, Missouri, he was a son of the late Harry Frederick Haynes and Sylvia Ellen Larkey Haynes. Mr. Haynes retired from the U.S. Air Force as an aircraft mechanic. He enjoyed woodworking and building things. He was known for giving out $2 bills. He will be remembered as a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He was the "best" and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Surviving in addition to his wife, Geraldine of Sumter, are one son, Ronald Lee Haynes and his wife, Janet, of Sumter; three daughters, Danita Kaye Haynes (Sumner) and her husband, Howard, of Sumter, Debra Lynn Haynes Miller and her husband, John, of Pittsburgh and Darla Ellen Haynes Greenwald and her husband, Robert, of Sumter; three stepsons, Barry Coeburn and his wife, Kathy, of Randleman, North Carolina, Gerald Dewayne Coeburn of Ashboro, North Carolina, and Kerry Layne Parker and his wife, Tammy, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; one brother, Leo Haynes of California; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters and seven brothers.
A private military service will be held for the family.
The family will be receiving friends at his home.
