Robert E. Lee Academy has moved to the top of the 2A SCISA poll in the latest edition of the S.C. Prep Media Football Poll released on Tuesday.

The Cavaliers, who improved to 3-0 on the season with a 44-20 victory over Dillon Christian School on Friday, jumped over Florence Christian School into the top spot. FCS fell to second after it dropped to 1-2 with a 41-20 loss to Laurence Manning Academy.

The win for LMA helped it moved from fourth to third in the SCISA 3A poll. Clarendon Hall remained in first in the SCISA 8-man poll. It gained that spot last week, but did not play on Friday due to Hurricane Dorian.

Sumter High School remains the only local team to be ranked in the SCHSL poll. The Gamecocks, who are 2-0 and also didn't play last week, are ranked seventh in the 5A poll.

The only change in the 5A poll was Byrnes moving into a tie for third with Fort Dorchester after being in fourth last week. Dutch Fork is still the unanimous No. 1 followed by Gaffney, Fort Dorchester, Byrnes, Dorman, T.L. Hanna, Sumter, River Bluff, West Florence and Berkeley.

East Clarendon is the only other local team receiving votes. The 2A Wolverines are 2-0 and actually had a scheduled bye week last week. EC will be on the road on Friday against Aynor, which is ranked No. 10 in 3A.

Myrtle Beach is No. 1 in 4A, while Abbeville is atop the 2A. Both are unanimous picks. There is a new No. 1 in 3A, however.

Chester dropped from the top to fourth after getting hammered by Rock Hill. Dillon moved to No. 1 receiving eight first-place votes. Chapman is second after receiving three first-place votes.

Camden jumped from sixth to third after beating 4A Hartsville. The Red Foxes fell from second to sixth in the 4A poll.

Green Sea-Floyds strengthened its hold on the top spot in 1A, picking up 10 first-place votes. Second place Wagener-Salley and No. 3 Lamar each got a No. 1 vote.

Hammond remained the unanimous pick in SCISA 3A despite suffering its second loss in three games. Thomas Heyward is the unanimous choice in SCISA 1A.

REL and FCS both got two first-place votes in the 2A poll with No. 3 Trinity-Byrnes picking up one as well. Clarendon Hall and No. 2 Andrew Jackson Academy both got two No. 1 votes in the 8-man poll.
