Funeral services for Roland Howard Davis Jr. will be held at noon today at Wayman Chapel AME Church with interment to follow.
The family received friends and Masonic Rites were performed on Wednesday at Palmer Memorial Chapel in Columbia.
The public may view from 11 a.m. today until the hour of service at the church.
Roland Howard Davis Jr. transitioned on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2018, in the midst of family.
Born in Charleston, he was the youngest of three children born to the late Roland Howard and Martha Lance Davis. A graduate of Faith Memorial School, he served his nation proudly in the United States Air Force, until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, Roland was preceded in death by his beloved bride of 57 years, the former Lottie Brown; and a sister.
Surviving are his two children, Audrey (Ron) Bright and Darrell (Kathy) Davis; three granddaughters; a sister; a devoted nephew and caregiver, George (Susan) Brown; and other relatives and friends.
