MANNING - Ronald Douglas Prosser, 76, died Monday, March 16, 2020, at Sumter Health and Rehabilitation.

Born Aug. 1, 1943, in Florence, he was a son of the late Arthur Douglas Prosser and the late Elsie Lavonne Tyler Prosser. He was a Mason, having received his Life Member certificate, a member of the S.C. Central Cattlemen's Association, and a retired barber and farmer. He was a member and past deacon of Manning First Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son, Ronnie Prosser (Nancy) of Manning; a daughter, Tammy Prosser Baxley (Todd Lambert) of Dalzell; a grandson, Ronald Douglas "Tripp" Prosser III; a granddaughter, Celia Windham; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Bryan Prosser; and three nieces, Tori Prosser, Whitney Webster and Shelby Webster, all of Manning.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Michael Prosser.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the chapel of Stephens Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Phillip Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Clarendon Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home and other times at the home of Ronnie and Nancy Prosser, 3989 JW Rhames Road, Manning.
