ROSANNA CARTER NELSON

Rosanna Carter Nelson, 87, widow of James Nelson and daughter of the late John Carter Sr. and Sugar Queen Dicks Carter, was born on Sept. 6, 1937, in Sumter. She departed this life on Sunday, May 11, 2025, Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, Sumter.

Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Job’s Mortuary Inc.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2025, at Jehovah Missionary Baptist, 609 Manning Ave., Sumter.

Interment will follow in Hillside Memorial Park, Sumter.
