SAMPSON L. PARKER SR.

Sampson L. Parker Sr., 88, husband of Margaret Rogers Parker, died Monday, May 20, 2019, at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

Born on April 27, 1931, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Wheeler and Olivia Welch Parker. Mr. Parker retired from the U.S. Air Force as a chief master sergeant after 27 years of service. He was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. Following his retirement, he owned and operated the Good Neighbor Mobile Home Park.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years; two sons, Sampson "Sammy" L. Parker Jr. (Judy) of Lugoff and Keith D. Parker (Donna) of Sumter; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Graveside services with full military honors will be held at noon today at Fort Jackson National Cemetery with the Rev. Michael Bowman officiating.

The family will receive friends at the home.
