SARAH ANN JONES AULL
GREENSBORO, N.C. - Sarah Ann "Coot" Jones Aull, 82, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully on Monday, Dec. 27, 2018, in her home.
Sarah was born on Dec. 22 in Sumter, and was a daughter of the late Clinton Jones and Margaret McLeod.
She is survived by her son, John H. Aull of High Point, North Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, John W. Aull. Sarah was the youngest of eight siblings who all preceded her in death: Olive Elizabeth, Mamie Orita, James Clinton, Ruby Lee, Elma Louise, David Eldridge and Robert Henry.
Since moving to Greensboro in 1977, Sarah and her husband John were loyal members of Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church. She retired from Miller Brewing Co. in 1993 after 25 years of service. During her career, Sarah received recognition and multiple awards, including the Crystal Achievement Award. Shortly after her retirement, Sarah began working alongside her husband and son at the family business, Aull Paint Company Inc.
A celebration of life is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday at Mount Pisgah United Methodist Church, 2600 Pisgah Church Road, Greensboro.
In lieu of flowers, her family has requested donations made in her memory to Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
