SARAH BROWN FREEMAN
Sarah Brown Freeman, 68, wife of Charles W. "Billy" Freeman, died on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence.
Born in Marion, she was a daughter of Ithel Thomas Brown and Flossie Martin Brown. Mrs. Freeman attended First Presbyterian Church. She was a retired registered nurse at Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.
Surviving are her husband; a son, Ithel Emmanuel "Emmett" Freeman and wife, Susan; two grandchildren, Emma Grace and Charlie Freeman; three stepchildren, Tammy, Will and Johnny Freeman and wife, Angie, all of Sumter; one step-grandchild, Tony Freeman of Sumter; and a niece, Betsy Spires of Gallivants Ferry.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Brown.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday in the chapel of Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home with the Rev. Nick Cheek officiating. Burial will be at the Church of the Ascension Cemetery in Hagood.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Elmore Hill McCreight Funeral Home and other times at the home, 2 Reynolds Road.
