SCDOT to conduct lane closures on I-95 South in Sumter County for repairs on Tuesday, Wednesday

Drivers in Sumter County should be aware that the South Carolina Department of Transportation will conduct lane closures on I-95 South near mile marker 146 in Sumter County to complete shoulder repairs, according to a news release from SCDOT.

The left lane of I-95 South will be closed the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 7, and will reopen by 5 p.m. the same day. The right lane of I-95 South will be closed the morning of Wednesday, Oct. 8, and will reopen by 5 p.m. the same day.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes if possible and expect delays. Drivers are also asked to slow down and pay attention when driving through a work zone.
