U.S. Sen. Cory Booker to visit Morris College on Monday

U.S. Sen. Cory Booker (D-New Jersey) will promote his 2020 presidential campaign on his visit to Morris College on Monday from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m. in the Neal-Jones Auditorium.

The senator will address the campus community starting at 9:30 a.m. The public is invited.

Entrepreneur to Address Honor Students

Morris College will hold its Honors Day Convocation in the Neal-Jones Auditorium at 10 a.m. Thursday. This year's address will be delivered by Erin Wilson-James, the assistant vice president at Universal Benefit's Marketing Firm.

A graduate of Sumter County public schools, Wilson-James holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration from Columbia College and is in the Executive MBA Program at the University of North Carolina.

Passionate about supporting and aiding families and children, she serves as the interim director for the Lou-Von Family Foundation and is board member of the Upper Midlands YWCA.

During the convocation, students named to the President's and Dean's Lists for the 2018 Fall Semester will be recognized for their academic achievements.

The assembly is free and open to the public.
