State Sen. Kevin Johnson, D-Manning, presents a check for $250,000 to the Paxville Community Development Corporation Board on Feb. 17.
The check will be used to fund Paxville's Seniors on the Move program, a youth afterschool program, a youth summer program and the community food bank that can reach between 200 and 300 people each month, according to PCDC chairman the Rev. Clifford Gaymon.
He said the money will also be used to fund Paxville's adult technology program that includes GED classes and other job preparation activities.
