SHARON ARLENE BRASHEAR BAILEY

Sharon Arlene Brashear Bailey, 82, beloved wife of 63 years to the late Albert Lee Bailey, died on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2020, at Covenant Place.

Born in Terre Haute, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Florence Brashear and Walter and Ruth Brashear. Mrs. Bailey was the backbone of the Bailey family. Her need to put others first was her priority. Losing her husband just eight days ago shows these two are meant to be together in the eyes of God. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Surviving are one son, Anthony "Tony" A. Bailey, and his wife, Wanda, of Sumter; two daughters, Sherri L. Jacobs of Sumter and Pamela B. Robinson and her husband, Richard, of Severn, Maryland; two brothers, Melvin Brashear, and his wife, Laura, of Indiana, and Berry Brashear and his wife, Katy, of Texas; four grandchildren, Shannon Jacobs-Littledale and her husband, William, Amanda Smith and her husband, TJ, Eric Benenhaley and his wife, Melissa, and Robert Bailey; and five great-grandchildren, Madison, Lucas, Kylor, Kason, Ashton and one baby girl on the way.

A graveside service will be held Friday at 10 a.m. in Fort Jackson National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bullock Funeral Home.
