SHIRLEY ANN STONE FOWLER

Shirley Ann Stone Fowler, 88, widow of Willie Delgar “Nick” Fowler, died Sunday, March 16, 2025, at her home.

Born April 23, 1936, in Sumter, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Wilson Stone Sr. and Mable Broadway Stone.

Mrs. Fowler was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She retired from Campbell’s Soup Company.

Survivors include a daughter, Susan Fowler Turner of Sumter; three sisters, Betty Elmore of Sumter, Helen Moore of Florida and Lauren Branham of Murrells Inlet; special friends, Sid and Elaine McGhee of Sumter; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas W. Stone Jr.; and a sister, Carol Suber.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2025, in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Dr. Steve Williams.
