Shooting death of Bishopville man under investigation

Aaron Lewis, a 22-year-old Bishopville man, was found dead in Rembert Friday from an apparent gunshot wound.
According to Adrienne Sarvis, public information officer with Sumter County Sheriff's Office, Lewis was pronounced dead at 4 p.m. by Sumter County Coroner Robbie Baker after his body was found along Huggins Road, near the border of Sumter and Lee counties.
An autopsy is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Monday at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston, according to a joint news release from the coroner's and sheriff's office.
The Lewis family has been contacted.
