A single-vehicle wreck resulted in one fatality in Lee County on Sunday night.

At about 7:30 p.m., a 1995 Honda Civic was traveling north on Red Hill Road in Lee County when it struck several trees, according to South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Cpl. David Jones. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle.

Lee County Coroner Larry Logan said the operator, Michael Burris, 58, of Tremble Branch Road in Camden, died after Lee County EMS transported him to Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital.

South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating.
