Once again, Sumter City Council extended an emergency ordinance on Tuesday that required face coverings be worn in retail and food service establishments.
The council voted 5-1, with Councilman Colin Davis voting in opposition and Councilman Thomas Lowery absent, to extend the ordinance.
It is set to expire on March 21.
