Three people were shot Friday night at a mobile home park on Broad Street in the Cherryvale community.

The incident happened about 8 p.m. in the 4400 block of Broad Street, which is the American Mobile Home Plaza. Flashing lights from multiple patrol vehicles could be seen at the entrance to the park behind Triple D Garage and Tony’s Guns.

Adrienne Sarvis, public information officer for the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, said a status on the three victims is not known but that one is a minor.

All three victims were transported to a hospital.

Officers had set up crime scene tape and started talking to witnesses by the time the victims were picked up by ambulances.

Sarvis said the incident is an open investigation and that the sheriff’s office is not yet releasing information about a suspect. She said she could not comment on whether someone has been arrested.

This is a developing story. More information will be updated here as it becomes available.
