Willie Samuel, 64, of Kinsey Drive, was arrested on April 25 and charged with domestic violence, second degree, and violation of court order protection in connection with a warrant issued on April 17.

According to a news release from Sumter County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Adrienne Sarvis, Samuel engaged in a verbal argument with his wife and threatened her at their residence, violating a court order of protection. Samuel reportedly pulled a knife and threatened to stab his wife for refusing to give him $10. The release states that Samuel's wife told law enforcement she was afraid for her life. The victim's order of protection is still in effect.

Kimberly Rene Boykin, 29, of Victory Drive, was arrested on April 19 in connection to a warrant issued on June 20, 2018. Boykin is charged with four counts of forgery, value less than $10,000, according to Sarvis.

Warrants state that Boykin forged four checks totaling $2,635 from two banks at a store in the 1400 block of South Guignard Parkway on May 21, May 23, May 28 and June 5, 2018.

A transaction photo and copy of each counterfeit check, all with Boykin's name, were obtained by law enforcement.

A warrant states Byrd rented a mortar mixer valued at $4,000 from a business in the 1200 block of South Guignard Drive on Feb. 13, 2018, and has failed or refused to return it.
