Sumter family still hoping for loved one's return, seeks information

"It's tough," Martha German said about dealing with the absence of her cousin, Brandon Graves, who has been missing since 2010.

Myrtle Beach's Brandon Graves, also called "Peanut" by family and close friends, was visiting his former school Morris College for homecoming on Jan. 30, 2010.

During a celebration at a club called Sebastion's at 3289 Broad St., Graves was seen on surveillance camera walking away from the building. That was the last time he was seen.

Every year, Martha said, the family, and sometimes the community, gathers to remember Brandon, sometimes releasing balloons in his memory.

She said the family thinks of him every day, but they miss him even more this time of year.

"We're enduring," she said. "We have our moments."

Brandon might still be out there, she said.

"God knows where he is," Martha said, "he will give us closure."

If anybody has information about what happened to Brandon Graves, please contact Sumter County Sheriff's Office at (803) 436-2000 or CrimeStoppers at (803) 468-2718 or 1-888-CRIME-SC.
