A Sumter man is facing more than a dozen counts of voyeurism after he was linked to multiple incidents where inappropriate images were taken of women in public.

Floyd Carlton Bryant, 39, is accused of coming into close proximity with the alleged victims and taking photos and videos of women from beneath their clothing without their knowledge, Tonyia McGirt, Sumter Police Department public information officer, said.

The incidents reportedly happened in multiple locations in the city including a Walmart store, T.J. Maxx and Prisma Health Tuomey Hospital, she said.

Since he was charged with two counts of voyeurism in August 2018 after a complaint, McGirt said, Bryant, of Crowndale Drive, was linked to numerous other reported incidents and alleged victims, many of whom have not been identified by police.

He was charged Wednesday with 18 counts of voyeurism and booked at Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center where bond was denied.

Anyone who thinks they may also be a victim and anyone with concerns can call Sumter Police Department at (803) 436-2700.
